New Jersey’s public school students and staff have been making the best of a bad situation during the global pandemic. But unless the federal government grants NJ’s assessment waiver request by April 5, districts will be required by the federal government to administer the New Jersey statewide assessments, including: New Jersey Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA) in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science; Dynamic Learning Maps (DLM); and ACCESS for ELLs.
Students do not need more testing; they need support, mental health resources, and an acknowledgement that these are not ordinary times. Make your voice heard. Take action today and urge the federal government to grant NJ’s assessment waiver.
